Gettysburg -- Here is an unusual shot, one that mixes history and digital transmission. Sitting high atop the Gettysburg National Tower, this picture shows the Gettysburg Battlefield, site of perhaps the bloodiest war battle in American history. The proportion is somewhat poor, you have no idea how big those segmented off parcels are, it's updated only every 30 minutes and it's a bit blurry, but it all adds to a sense of peeking at an eerie scene. And, hey, it's the Gettysburg battlefield! Easily worth Lewisberry -- This is a SnowCam from Ski Roundtop Resort. The camera is operated by a viewer who has this right in his backyard! You get two high-quality cams here, and if you're a snow lover, you'll like this one! + Milford -- Head up to the mountains with this shot. A beautiful picture, especially when the sun is out. It's a nature shot taken 1,540 feet above sea level. It's really simply a relaxing, peaceful shot in the woods. Perfect if your hassled at work and need a slice of nature to calm down. The camera quality appears to be top flight, which makes any shot better. This one's worth +
Philadelphia -- A shot of the downtown skyline from this camera maintained by a Lockheed Martin lab in the city. Image quality isn't the best, but the buildings can be clearly picked out on a clear day and the proportion is right, with a riverfront walkway in the foreground followed by a nice shot of the city's river with the skyline right there in the background. Since reexamining, the rating has been upped to . Pittsburgh -- From the northside, atop Troy Hill, this cam provides great proportion. It spans over the trees in the foreground to the tall city buildings, and onto the horizon in the distance. Also check out the cam atop Mt. Washington, which shows a great view of the river and the city stretching toward the horizon. These sky cam views give you a real sense for the city. . Shrewsbury -- A very American scene here, one that takes you to a small town. A wind surfing graphic is on the city's Web page, but what we see is either a sliver of the lake or a pond. On the other side is a trailer and a flagpole with Old Glory flyin' high. Seems like the camera is in a park, or under an awning in a public spot where people can barbecue. Very American, as I say, and worth a bit for the feel. Otherwise, pretty boring. Worth + with the plus given for effort. State College -- Here's a three-for-one deal. Both sit atop a lab building, but provide vastly different pictures in both appearance and quality. One shows a campus walkway lined with trees, one shows a campus street and auditorium building, the last is aimed at a tree with houses in the background. Two are crystal clear shots, but the one that is a poorer quality camera is on a much better shot. A strange combination that is worth +
Westfall -- Here's a shot atop a hill, looking at a range of lesser mountains, looking over Sussex County, New Jersey. Shows a bit too much sky for my taste, but it certainly is sharp and crystal clear. Worth a quick look for a fast getaway, and worth
