North Dakota

Bismarck -- Here are a pair of weather cameras outside the National Weather Service offices that, once again, miss the mark. They show more of the of the building, sidewalk and parking lot than the sky. Improvement is needed as they are a bit boring, even if there is a storm coming. Worth videobug +

Bismarck -- This isn't really an inspiring shot, and offers little that distinguishes Bismarck from other, similarly sized towns with the exception of the occasional shot of the state capital in the picture. That's a kind way of saying when I first saw this picture it was pretty boring (sorry, KFYR, because we do appreciate all netcam shots.) It's looking down a street from a camera atop the historic Patterson Hotel in the city's downtown and offers a nice slice of the sky. In all, worth videobugvideobug because of the top-notch camera quality.

Dickinson -- Again, these are some weathercams out of NoDAk and these, at least, are helpful. Three thumbnail shots that can be expanded are at least 80 percent of the sky and draw some interest, even to get the panorama feel of the state. They are at the airport and the page it worth videobugvideobug +

Fargo -- Our first shot from North Dakota appears to come from a high-quality camera that offers a well-presented panorama of this border town. Very nice reproduction, and we like vista shots, so this site is worthvideobugvideobugvideobug

Fargo -- Here's our second shot of this border town, and it's nicer than the first, although still a weather camera shot dominated by the sky. This one shows a shot of some downtown buildings and a street scene which is nice, but the proportion is still odd given the upward angle toward the sky. All in all, worth videobugvideobug +.

Grand Forks -- This is on the bottom half of the Fargo cam page. You know it's a smaller city when the exact address of the camera is listed. It looks like we're looking down on the parking lot of a building with the back of a neighborhood laid out in front of us. The image is rather dark, but is sharp and certainly gives a feeling of the town. Worth videobugvideobug

Grand Forks -- Here's a shot from atop a weather information center on the UND campus. It looks out on a parking lot and, quite frankly, is a bit boring. It's a weather cam that probably should show more of the sky, instead of parked cars. Worth videobug + mainly because it is so big, albeit a bit fuzzy. It's updated every five minutes.

Grand Forks -- This fisheye shot out the window of a UND professor's office and shows, in the distance, a four-way intersection that belongs in rural America. There is some sky, but the proportion is off and everything seems a bit dark and blurry. An extra cam for effort brings this to videobugvideobug +
